**General Hospital spoilers for the week of February 23–27 hint that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) could be on his way out of Port Charles. With his personal and professional life spiraling, let’s take a closer look at what might be ahead for the troubled cop.
Exit Rumors Continue to Swirl
Speculation has been spreading across social media suggesting that Josh Swickard may be leaving the ABC daytime drama. While neither the show nor the actor has confirmed an exit, that doesn’t mean it’s off the table.
With February sweeps wrapping up, a shocking departure — possibly separating Chase from Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Port Charles — would certainly end the month with a bang.
After all, tensions have already exploded following Michael Corinthos’ (Rory Gibson) confrontation over the keychain incident. The drama escalated into a physical fight at the Quartermaine mansion before Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) stepped in to break it up — putting serious strain on Chase’s marriage.
Michael Called Into Question
In the February 19 episode, Michael was summoned to the police station after Drew Cain’s house key was found on his key ring.
When the PCPD searched the Quartermaine mansion, Michael handed over his keys confidently — unaware that Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) had secretly attached Drew’s key to them.
Earlier, Chase had noticed Michael’s keys on the floor and checked them himself, confirming Drew’s key was there before placing them back — not realizing Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) had seen him handling them.
A Courtroom Twist
Wiley later mentioned this to Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), leading to a major twist. When Michael was called in for questioning, Ric appeared as his legal counsel and revealed that Chase had handled the keys — leaving ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) visibly rattled.
Whether or not Michael is suspected of shooting Drew, the evidence tied to the keychain may now be compromised due to Chase’s involvement.
To make matters worse, Chase had encouraged investigation into this angle and now appears suspicious himself — even if he didn’t directly plant the key.
Career and Marriage on the Line
Chase can likely kiss any hopes of reinstatement as a detective goodbye. His actions may have permanently damaged his standing with the department.
At the same time, his marriage to Brook Lynn is hanging by a thread. Though Willow was officially cleared — despite viewers knowing she shot Drew — Brook Lynn may struggle to understand why Chase continued digging into a case he was removed from.
Chase seems determined to pursue justice at any cost, but in doing so, he may have crossed a dangerous line.
Is Chase Headed Out of Town?
With his career in jeopardy and his marriage in crisis, could Chase leave Port Charles altogether?
Some spoilers hint he might visit his brother, Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), as a way to escape the fallout. Could that serve as a temporary — or permanent — exit?
Or will Chase once again insert himself into danger, possibly getting shot or worse while playing hero?
It’s also worth noting that in real life, Josh Swickard and his wife Lauren recently welcomed a new baby. Could he simply take time off for family, similar to Steve Burton’s recent break from the show?
For now, fans will have to keep watching to see whether Chase’s story is wrapping up — or just getting started.
